About Clover

Hi there β€” my name is Clover, and 2026 is my year to find my forever family. πŸπŸ’› I’m gentle, curious, and endlessly charming β€” the kind of companion who quietly slithers into your heart. No tricks, just warmth, curiosity, and love! I came into rescue on March 15, 2023, after my previous owner could no longer care for me. Since then, I’ve been in foster care, where I’ve grown into a confident, sweet young ball python. Now, I’m more than ready to find my forever home, where I can be safe, loved, and cherished. I’m just under 3 feet long and a little over 1 inch in girth, and I’ve been a wonderfully consistent eater β€” never once refusing a meal! My foster says I’m snuggly, curious, and easy to handle. I love exploring my enclosure with calm interest, but I’m just as happy soaking in the peace of a cozy hide. Though I’m classified as a common ball python, my unique patterning suggests I might have some Enchi influence, giving me brighter tones and reduced patterns that make me truly stand out. My markings are anything but ordinary β€” just like me! ✨ Ball Python – Species & Personality Facts ✨ β€’ Typically grow to 3–5 feet as adults β€’ Lifespan: 30–40 years in captivity with proper care β€’ Calm, gentle, and friendly β€” ideal for both beginner and experienced keepers β€’ Primarily nocturnal β€” most active in the evenings and nights β€’ Curl into a tight β€œball” when unsure, which is where our name comes from β€’ Love hides and burrowing to feel safe, secure, and cozy 🏠 Husbandry & Enclosure Requirements 🏠 β€’ Minimum enclosure: 4 feet long Γ— 2 feet wide Γ— 2 feet tall (bigger is always better) β€’ Enclosures should prioritize ground space over height β€’ Front-opening enclosures are ideal to reduce stress β€’ Temperature gradient: warm side 88–92Β°F, cool side 78–80Β°F β€’ Moderate humidity, with access to a water bowl for soaking β€’ Multiple hides to feel safe and secure β€’ Simple, functional dΓ©cor works best β€” cozy and calm 🐍 I’m looking for a human who: β€’ Can provide safe, thermostat-controlled heat πŸ”₯ β€’ Knows (or wants to learn) proper ball python care, including temperature, humidity, and safe handling β€’ Is patient and gentle, giving me time to explore and settle in β€” 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to get to know each other, and 3 months to truly feel at home ⏳ β€’ Can provide a secure, enriching habitat and lots of calm, gentle attention I’m ready to bring my sweet, curious, and heartwarming nature into the right home. Could 2026 be our year together? 🏑✨ ✨ PLEASE NOTE: 🎁 We can only accept applications from interested parties who are in or near San Diego County, California at this time. ❄️ We do not ship reptiles 🚫✈️ but we may be willing to work with you if you are willing to travel πŸš— (still within Southern California). 🌟 #2 (snowflake) will depend on the animal that you are applying for and is at the discretion of the board of directors. πŸ’›πŸŽ If you’d like to make me part of your family, please click the Adoption Application button below β€” I can’t wait to meet you! ✨🏑
