Ball Python
About Cinnamon
Hi there β my name is Cinnamon, and 2026 is my year to find my forever family. ππ Iβm a calm, observant ball python β but I have a super spicy streak! Iβm not easily handled, and sometimes itβs hard for me to tell if it's time to be held or if itβs feeding time. With the right guidance from the rescue and patience, I can be a rewarding companion. I came into care as a stray on June 21, 2025. I was found near a busy pedestrian area at Campland on the Bay in Pacific Beach, and a kind human made sure I was safe when people began gathering around me. I was unharmed and stayed calm, but I still need someone who is patient and willing to learn my signals. After arriving at the shelter, I was transferred into rescue care, where Iβve been given warmth, stability, and time to settle into a safe routine. The rescue team will teach you how to tell me the difference between time to be handled and when itβs feeding time, so we can build a bond safely and confidently. I enjoy cozy hides and quiet companionship, and with the right guidance, I can thrive and become a loyal, fascinating friend. β¨ Ball Python β Species & Personality Facts β¨ β’ Typically grow to 3β5 feet as adults β’ Lifespan: 30β40 years in captivity with proper care β’ Calm and steady, but not easily handled β super spicy personality! β’ Primarily nocturnal β most active in the evenings and nights β’ Curl into a tight βballβ when unsure, which is where our name comes from β’ Love hides and burrowing to feel safe, secure, and cozy π Husbandry & Enclosure Requirements π β’ Minimum enclosure: 4 feet long Γ 2 feet wide Γ 2 feet tall (bigger is always better) - The rescue will help guide you β’ Front-opening enclosures are ideal to reduce stress β’ Temperature gradient: warm side 88β92Β°F, cool side 78β80Β°F β’ Moderate humidity, with access to a water bowl for soaking β’ Multiple hides to feel safe and secure β’ Simple, functional dΓ©cor works best β cozy and calm π Iβm looking for a human who: β’ Can provide safe, thermostat-controlled heat π₯ β’ Knows (or wants to learn) proper ball python care, including temperature, humidity, and safe handling β’ Is patient and willing to let me settle in at my own pace β I need time to build trust: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to get to know each other, and 3 months to truly feel at home β³ β’ Will work with the rescue team to learn my signals, so handling and feeding are always safe and stress-free Iβm calm, steady, and ready to bring quiet companionship, curiosity, and a little spice into the right home.
