Hi there — my name is Caramello, and 2026 is my year to find my forever family. 🐍💛 I’m a gentle, resilient ball python who has had a rough start, but I’m ready to find a home where I can be truly loved and cared for. My journey began with a human who truly wanted the best for me, who inherited me but knew they couldn’t provide the care I needed, even though they really tried. They brought me to rescue so I could recover from illness, receive proper veterinary care, and eventually find a forever home with someone who loves snakes and understands how to care for them. Thanks to that decision, I’ve been given a second chance to thrive, and now I’m ready to meet the person who will cherish me for years to come. I’m naturally calm and gentle, and I respond well to patient, steady handling. Because of my medical history, I need a stable environment with proper temperatures and humidity, but with the right home, I flourish. I love quiet companionship and cozy hides, and I’m ready to blossom in a forever home that’s fully equipped to support me. ✨ Ball Python – Species & Personality Facts ✨ • Typically grow to 3–5 feet as adults • Lifespan: 30–40 years in captivity with proper care • Calm, gentle, and easy to handle — ideal for patient, responsible humans • Primarily nocturnal — most active in the evenings and nights • Curl into a tight “ball” when unsure, which is where our name comes from • Enjoy hides and burrowing to feel safe and secure 🏠 Husbandry & Enclosure Requirements 🏠 • Minimum enclosure: 4 feet long × 2 feet wide × 2 feet tall (bigger is always better) - The rescue team will guide you • Front-opening enclosures are ideal to reduce stress • Temperature gradient: warm side 88–92°F, cool side 78–80°F • Moderate humidity, with access to a water bowl for soaking • Multiple hides to feel safe and secure • Simple, functional décor works best — cozy and calm 🐍 I’m looking for a human who: • Can provide safe, thermostat-controlled heat 🔥 • Knows (or wants to learn) proper ball python care, including temperature, humidity, and safe handling • Can give me time to settle in — 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to build trust, and 3 months to truly feel at home ⏳ I’m calm, steady, and ready to bring quiet companionship, trust, and gentle charm into the right home.
