About Angel

Hi, I’m Angel! I am a 6 mo old husky mix puppy. Right now I weigh (TBD lbs) but I will become a medium to large dog over the next year or two. I can be a little shy at first, but overall I’m happy-go-lucky, carefree, engaging, adaptive, and cheerful! I was brought to the rescue by my previous owner. Someone had gifted me to them, but they already had 2 other big dogs; three was just too much. They cried when they had to leave me, but it was the right thing for all of us. I was scared at first, but I’ve been having fun ever since! Being so young and curious, it’s best to provide positive experiences and reinforcement so I can learn how to be the best girl. My foster parents have helped me to learn manners, or what we call 'Petiquette' and how to be calm. In just a short time, I have learned sit, wait, calm, and I am now crate and mostly potty trained! Though frequency is still a little bit of an issue through the night. My foster parents have been working with me to learn stay, come, off, down, and loose leash walking. Being a puppy, sometimes I have trouble controlling my excitement and impulses, but I am already growing out of this phase with training, attention, and lots of activity to burn off my energy. While at the rescue, I have received my microchip, rabies vaccination, Bordetella vaccination, spay surgery, and the first round of my DHPP vaccination. I will need two more over the next few weeks. To keep me healthy, I will require regular vet checks and dentals, and though I won’t ‘need’ grooming, I do shed quite a bit so you may want to find one who can bathe me and blow out my coat. Don’t forget the daily walks, but when it’s cool, please- this coat is beautiful but quite warm! This will help me get my energy out so that I can focus on my learning and controlling my puppy-ness. Tough toys and real large bones are my favorite things to keep me occupied when I’m not playing with my people. Nothing would make me happier than to find a family to devote myself to! You won’t find a more dedicated, loving companion! What thrills me most in life is sharing my love with those around me, and I want to learn, please, and play! If you think we may be a good match, or you would like to get to know me better, please click the Adoption Application button below, and you will be contacted by one of our adoption counselors! Please Note - Due to home introductions that are part of the adoption process, we can only accept applications for interested parties who are in or near San Diego County, California at this time.
